Letter from Pat Nevin, ex-Chelsea and Scotland International, when Director of Football at Motherwell Football Club.
Dear David and Aaron,
I am writing to thank you for the work that you undertook for us last season. There is no doubt in my mind that in many areas it was very helpful to the team as a whole and to some individuals in particular.
The general fitness benefited noticeably as the season progressed following the extraordinarily professional regime that you imposed on them. It was wonderful to see the confidence, of the youngsters in particular, grow as their power, strength and characters were developed. It is vital in any modern sport to install an inner belief and I was more than pleased to see you major in this area.
Some of those younger first team players began to fully understand the importance of maximising their potential as they witnessed such attitudes coming from both yourself and Aaron. Your work on the psyche is I realise as important as your work on the physique.
There is absolutely no doubt that many, if not most, of the concepts used during your tenure at Fir Park will be utilised next season and for many seasons after that. It was you will recall the original idea that we would learn from you and then carry on ourselves thereafter, down to the day you have provided that service on schedule.
There is little doubt that the manager will from time to time contact you for advice and ideas in your specialist areas. As for myself, I will obviously keep in touch with someone I respect as a professional and trust as an adviser.
Pat Nevin Director of Football.

On our work with the Women’s England Rugby Squad...
“The feedback from the players was fantastic and they found the sessions that Aaron and company did excellent. I also found your (by your I mean you and all of your staff) level of knowledge and expertise at a very, very high level.”

On our first year with Middlesex Country Cricket Club
“Team Fitness is now on board and they have been fantastic in their professional approach. David Heard, their Managing Director has himself been working with Aaron Laraman on a one-to-one basis so they really are committed to getting the guys very well prepared for the season.”

On the benefits of Team Fitness programmes
“June is when the hard work put in during the Winter really starts counting. The bodies are no longer as fresh as they were, there may be a few injuries around, and we all know how important it s to perform well in this month. Fortunately our fitness trainers have done a fantastic job in the off season (I can vouch for that now!), and we are still playing consistently.”

The Team Fitness Ethos...
 David Heard, TF. |
I want our athletes to be of such peak conditioning that on their worst days they are excellent, and on their good days they are unbeatable."

"To play like champions you have to train like champions."

Case Study: Client D - Chronic Groin Strain
Client D was constantly being substituted after approximately 40 minutes into each match, reporting excessive groin pain. Rest and ice meant that a couple of days after each occurrence he could train. He would then show no ill effects in the training sessions, but come the match it would present again. This pattern had repeated itself over 2 seasons.
Muscle testing by Team Fitness revealed greater strength in the left leg, both in the hamstring and quadriceps muscle group, when compared to the right leg. The testing also revealed very weak abductors and adductors in both legs, as well as a slight tilt in the pelvis.
Team Fitness instigated a gym based weight-training programme of exercise to re-balance hamstrings and quadriceps, carried out twice weekly. The pelvic tilt was adjusted by manipulation once every 2 weeks, over a 2-month period.
After 3 months Client D was able to complete the full 90 match minutes. He also reported no pain or discomfort. At a year later there was no recurrence of the injury.
